Wireline Set Retrivable Bridge Plug

The WS Model WS-WLRBP is a Wireline Set, Retrievable Plug capable of holding differential pressure from above and below.
The WLRBP may be set on conventional wireline or hydraulic setting tools. The short design is easy to retrieve on tubing, coil tubing or sand line, using the appropriate retrieving tool.
When the retrieving tool engages the top of the bridge plug, the equalizing valve opens before the bridge plug is released, preventing the bridge plug from moving with differential pressure.

- Equalizing valve opens before plug is released
- Straight pull release
- Over shot will wash to gage ring for easy retrieval
- Rotational safety release mechanism while tubing retrievable only
- Optional sand line or coiled tubing retrieval
- Swab resistant packing element system
Benefits
- Slips are standard for long life and durability
- Compact design for tight doglegs, short lubricators
- Simple, rig-friendly operation
- Holds pressure from above and below
Applications
- Acidizing & fracturing
- Casing pressure testing
- Wellhead repair or replacement
- Zonal isolation
Mechanical / Wireline Set Bridge Plug
The WS Model WS-WLBP Wireline Set Driilable Bridge Plug or Model WS-MBP Mechanical Set Drillable Bridge Plug are high performance drillable bridge plugs, commonly used for zonal isolation during stimulation or cementing jobs, or for temporary and permanent abandonment.
The Model WS-WLBP/MBP Bridge Plugs can easily be converted to Model WS-WLCR/MCR Cement Retainers.

Mechanical Set Drillable Bridge Plug
Features And Benefits
- Choice In Setting – Wireline, mechanical, or hydraulic.
- High Performance – 10,000 psi and 400°F in most sizes (see specification guide).
- Superior Running Characteristics – Increased clearance and locked construction for faster, safer run-in with packing element locked against swab-off forces.
- Body Lock Ring – Traps setting force in element to maintain pack-off during pressure reversals.
- Adaptable – Bridge Plug consists of a basic unit which can easily be converted to mechanical or wireline set cement retainer.
Snap Latch Setting Tool

The WS Model WS-SLST Snap Latch Setting Tool is designed to mechanically set Cement Retainers and Cement Retainers with Flapper Valves. With minimal modifications, the tool can also be adapted to set Bridge Plugs. The Snap Latch Setting Tool incorporates a built-in Snap-Latch feature that allows it to latch securely into the Cement Retainer using set-down weight and to be released with tension after setting. This mechanism allows the tool to function as a Snap Latch Stinger Sub, providing an upward stop when the tubing is raised.
When the tubing is raised to this stop, the valve (either a sleeve or flapper valve) is closed, but the Stinger Sub Seal remains in the bore of the retainer. The work string can be internally pressure tested in this position when setting a Cement Retainer with Sleeve Valve. For Flapper Valve Retainers, alternative means must be provided to test the tubing. The tool can be run with the control valve in either the open or closed position, depending on the application, and an alternate stinger sub body is available for running the valves in the closed position.
Features And Benefits
- One-Trip System: The Snap Latch Setting Tool sets the tool with rotation and up-strain, making it a highly efficient, one-trip system. It also functions as a stinger for subsequent cementing operations.
- Versatile: Easily converted to set either Cement Retainers or Bridge Plugs, offering flexibility for various wellbore operations.
- Secure Locking Mechanism: The upper slip is securely locked in place, and the latch is solidly threaded into the body of the retainer, ensuring a reliable set.
- Snap Latch Feature: The tool’s snap-latch feature allows it to latch into the retainer using set-down weight and to be released by pulling tension. This ensures that the tool stays securely in place during operation.
- Valve Operation: The stinger opens the sleeve valve with set-down weight and closes it with up-strain. This provides control over valve operation during setting.
- Pressure Testing: Tubing pressure testing is possible with latch sleeve valve retainers by pulling up to close the retainer valve before releasing the tool from the retainer.
Mechanical Set Retrievable Bridge Plug

The WS Model WS-MSRBP Mechanical Set Retrievable Bridge Plug is a high-pressure packer-style plug designed for use in multiple-zone and selective single-zone operations, such as acidizing, fracturing, cementing, and well testing. The retrievable bridge plug features a large internal bypass that helps minimize swabbing during both the running and retrieval of the tool. The bypass closes during plug setting and opens prior to releasing the upper slips, ensuring pressure equalization before unsetting. This design aids in debris removal when the bypass is open.
This bridge plug is uniquely capable of setting and packing off in tension, making it suitable for both shallow wellhead equipment and deep, high-pressure well applications.
Features And Benefits
- One-Quarter Right Turn Operation: The plug is set and released with a simple one-quarter right turn, providing reliable and consistent operation, especially in applications with limited rotational movement.
- Large Internal Bypass: The internal bypass equalizes pressure before releasing the upper slips, ensuring safe retrieval of the plug and preventing damage to the wellbore.
- Tension Set Capability: The ability to set and pack off in tension makes this tool ideal for shallow to deep, high-pressure well applications, including wellhead testing and deep testing operations.
Applications
- Wellhead Testing: Ideal for testing the integrity of wellhead equipment.
- Treating and Testing Multiple Selected Zones: Suitable for operations that require selective zone isolation, such as acidizing and fracturing.
- Deep High-Pressure Testing: Designed for use in high-pressure environments, including deep wells.
- Fracturing: Can be used for zonal isolation during fracturing operations.
- Temporary Zonal Isolation: Effective for isolating specific zones temporarily during various wellbore operations.
Hydro Mechanical Bridge Plug

The WS Model WS-HMBP Hydro-Mechanical Bridge Plug is a drillable bridge plug designed for use in a variety of wellbore operations. It incorporates a built-in hydraulic chamber to initiate the setting process, providing reliable performance for both temporary and permanent zone isolation.
Features And Benefits
- Hydraulic-Actuated Mechanical Set: Combines hydraulic and mechanical setting methods for efficient plug deployment.
- Slim-Line Design: Compact and space-efficient, allowing for easy handling and installation in a variety of well types.
- Dual Release Options: Tubing can be released through right-hand rotation (primary method) or by shearing in tension, offering flexibility in operation.
- PDC Drillable: The plug is designed for fast and easy drilling using a PDC bit, simplifying well abandonment or re-entry operations.
- Integrated Setting Mechanism: The setting mechanism and control are contained within the plug, eliminating the need for complex mechanical setting tools and reducing operational costs.
- Cost-Effective: Eliminates the need for a wireline setting tool and associated equipment, reducing overall costs.
- Full Tubing Bore: The plug allows for unobstructed passage of fluids, as well as wireline tools such as perforating and logging equipment, after the plug is set and the tubing is released.
- Compatibility with Other Packers: Can be run and set in tandem with retrievable production packers or squeeze packers for added operational versatility.
Applications
- Well Abandonment: Ideal for use in well abandonment operations, providing reliable sealing and isolation.
- Temporary and Permanent Zone Isolation: Used for isolating specific zones, either temporarily or permanently, during various wellbore activities.
- Cementing & Stimulation: Useful in cementing and stimulation operations where zonal isolation is required.
